The 2016 Curly St. James is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Cabernet Franc, grown on the steep volcanic slopes of the Mayacamas mountains. The Cabernet Sauvignon’s concentrated dark red cherries and expressive blackberry accents complement the Cabernet Franc’s rich, succulent chocolate mocha creaminess and wild berries. The structure of the midpalate leads to a dense matrix of suave tannins and a lingering vivacity that only a mountain wine can yield.
